Arif Fauzan Othman is a distinguished Malaysian figurative artist whose passion was ignited during his formative art school years under the mentorship of artist Awang Damit Ahmad. Graduating from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) in 2001, his work is deeply rooted in Nusantara mythology and cultural social values.
His practice is marked by a strong sense of theatricality, frequently using women as protagonists within elegant renditions of sculptural figures. Through exquisitely rendered oil paintings, he explores intellectual dichotomies, contrasting the mystique of local beliefs with the symbolic language of Western culture.
